Peters is pursuing legal action against Mallard for the alleged illegal trespassing order issued after the Parliament protest. He’s doing the right thing and good on him.
Whether one agrees with the fundamentals of the Parliament protesters or not, Mallard (with the blessings of the government) was a total disgrace to the nation and should be held accountable. I agree with Peter’s that the bizarre tactics were an illegal travesty and that’s just not acceptable from any government anywhere in the free world. How does this qualify him as an international diplomat???
Some years ago, Hon Mallard and Hon Tau Henare exchanged fisticuffs, ending up on the floor of a parliamentary corridor. They were broken up by Parliamentary Security. Then Hon Michael Cullen took Hon Mallard to apologise. I say good riddance to him and wonder if he will make a good fist of diplomacy in Europe. No pun intended!…

I hope it is a one-way ticket there and he never comes back!
You just couldn’t make this stuff up no one would believe you
