Don Brash, the man, his opinion and his position on a Chinese Bank board....hmm.

I wonder, in view of Chinese monitoring/surveillance of NZ's MSM, universities and yes, even sites like this, that this article is not in fact personal patch/job protection by Brash to his Chinese associations. Can one man serve two masters?

Meanwhile the old Domino Theory lives on. The Chinese communist government through benevolent aid and support to the likes of Papua New Guinea and small impoverished Pacific nations could easily and quickly lead to communist takeovers in those states, each falling like a perfectly aligned row of dominos.

  • It is very concerning that the average New Zealander is so poorly educated, so self focused, unobservant and  apatheti…

I have listened to Don Brash at public meetings and joined him for coffee in a private setting. I have got to know the man and have found him to be very upright and intelligent and scrupulously honest. I have found his comments about AUKUS to be spot on.

Don -why on earth would you align yourself with such deadbeats as Geoffrey Palmer and Helen Clarke? You damage your credibility. Have you not heard of Cheug Lei? How could you possibly support any country that would treat someone that way??

I have a good deal of respect for Don Brash. But, like you Roger, I shake my head at those he aligns himself with.. What a couple of has beens . Still muttering on in the background. Both responsible for many of our current problems.

My Mother used to say " You are judged by the company you keep." Plus an elderly Scots relative who opined " If you fly with the crows you get shot with the crows."
