I know I'm a stuck record on this, but somehow all of us have to demand accountability from our elected representatives.
It should never be acceptable that we allow these (well-paid) career politicians to promise what they don't deliver.
I suppose there is a hint of discipline within the parties, as we have seen occasionally, but in general there is far too much of a credibility gap.
It devalues our democracy and our society as a whole; personally I'm sick to death of it.
