MICHAEL LAWS AND ELIZABETH RATA discussing a new bill that Laws says will "destroy NZ's education system"

Below are links to two Platform podcasts from yesterday, June 19.

The first is an interview of Elizabeth Rata by Michael Laws about the proposed Education and Training Amendment Bill. Rata, typically exercising restraint, says she was genuinely "shocked" by this bill.

The second is Laws' post-mortem on the interview and assessment of what the proposed legislation would do.

Andy Espersen writes,

I have just written a letter to Hon Erica Stanford - and suggest every commenter does likewise!

"Dear Erica Stanford,

I have just listened to Michael Laws’ interview of Elizabeth Rata.  Like Michael Laws, I knew nothing about this amendment to your Education Bill.   Did you know???

That amendment must not pass!!!

The National Party will be destroyed if Parliament passes it!!!

So somehow you’d better back out of it smartly!

I hope to God that Erica Stanford takes note of Elisabeth Rata's submission on the Education and Training Amendment Bill when she comes to make her decisions regarding the future of education in this country.

The state of the public education sector in this country is a disgrace. And disastrously very few people can afford to send their children to private schools where at least they get a fair crack at the whip in balanced learning.

There are a good number of influential people in this country who are far better suited to design our education system than the Govt bureaucrats. Bruce Cotterill, Professor James Allan, Anthony O'Brien, and Dr Michael Johnston to name just four.

More and more we see that the government is NOT doing the clean-up they said they would do.

I say, why not? Because the public service is entrenched in every corner of system and Luxon does not have the constitution to do anything about it.

He is carrying on where Ardern left off, without a bone of conscience about the load of false promises that they campaigned on.

It is sickening at least and if he is still there come election time, he is going to get a mighty kick into touch.

Are we going to allow this garbage to continue? Who is going to stem the flow of madness that permeates from most politicians, as they smile and lie…

There’s a particularly aggressive, yet subversive malignancy afflicting the public service of New Zealand – centered, naturally, on the appallingly overpaid, entitled, veritably useless and otherwise unemployable civil servants of Wellington. Will someone please pull the plug on that you-know-what hole?

More racist bullshit to indoctrinate the young and further the aims of radical maori to implement He Puapua by 2040. Activists in the public service need to be weeded out and put on the dole queue. The major partner in this government is piss weak and proving to be no better than the last Labour mob..
