Here we have Melissa Lee and Sean Plunket speaking the obvious, as it has been since the government first began bribing the media to support the Maori takeover so they could harvest votes using what they see as an easy sell.. I wonder how Maori feel about being treated as though they have a ring through their noses and can be patronised like this? Advocacy journalism is about as cynical and corrupt as it gets, because if you have the half broke media on side, voluntarily selling their souls to the devil, how can you possibly get the alternative view across to the general public? By selling separatism instead racial unity, Labour is effectively turning on the very people wh…

Why do we need to fund the media? The only reason I can think of for why a government would want to fund any media at all is so that they can control the message for their ends and therefore shape people's perceptions of reality. It's very hard to keep people in the dark or to keep them believing what you want them to believe when the people have access to any and all information from any source they choose. Since one side or the other side (to the extent that we even have distinct "sides" in New Zealand politics) controlling the narrative is fundamentally subversive of the democratic process, the practice of state funding should cease and media should…

Can we just visit this free speech issue?

Simon O' Connor states to his Facebook followers ( who probably know his views).

Something to the effect: it's been a great day.

This in response to SCOTUS handing the abortion legislation issues back to the separate US states where it should be. SCOTUS comprising Democrat and Republican judges. Nothing to do with New Zealand or our legislation. Immediately all the morons and mentals come out of the woodwork! We are indeed doomed if we have got to this stage folks!

Luxon: First obligation to those who voted him in, second to support his fellow MPs. No obligation to the media whatsoever.

I think you will find that he has made his point more than a dozen times but the media refuse to let it go.

The days of the Muldoon uppercut delivered to the media are gone. Yes, it will excite you , Ron and a few others but will alienate the majority of voters and what will be the result, another term of ardern.

To be honest, I am tired of pointing out the obvious here and elsewhere but I'll try one last time.

New Zealand is not a right wing country and Act's 10% should make that clear to all who can count. The bulk of women under 50 still support ardern and will not be weaned away b…

Am not sure if she was trying to avoid stepping off safe ground like Luxon, but in any case comes across as a bit too PC to handle the head on confrontations that will be needed to rescue the nation from its plunge down the toilet.

correct. in my mind it is insane that a party with only 7% voter support gets to select a new government.

I cannot agree with her entirely and it sickens me when people like her make absolutely sure they pronounce maori words with such pain to be exactly correct in pronunciation.. and so often mispronounce English and say stupid things like "Overseas in other countries. "Where the hell would one expect other countries to be other than overseas, worse " Whanau and Family "

The lolly-shaped dollars being handed out to the scrabbling crawling unscrupulous slavering media are not the main problem in NZ it is the take over of society as we knew it in the past by an elite group. who along with labour want to install apartheid in New Zealand.
