GerryB. The racism that you see is in your mind and has been added to no doubt by the lying racist divisive "leader" we have had running our country for the last 5 years. Firstly Maori are not Indigenous to NZ by their own admission...otherwise why do they have a point in Northland where their spirits return home to Hawaiki when they die? Spirits Bay. They are early settlers (not the earliest) who have been (as have other early settlers i.e Chinese) been wronged in the past. Unlike many other early settlers they have been adequately compensated by the Treaty Industry which should be scrapped as should the Maori Electoral Seats and the Maori Affairs Department. The racism on this website is next level, in the comments and the articles. But mainly the comments. Question for you Rodney Hide- is this the legacy you want to leave? Is this what you want to be remembered for? You are just empowering these people to get worse and giving them a platform for their racist views. When the next Tarrant pops out of the woodwork and commits some violent act against Māori, I bet he will be a top commentator on this website. Just saying.
I listen to every Leighton podcast, won't get a chance to listen to this until tomorrow when Pauline and I will listen together, but it's ironic New Zealand's two true journalists, Leighton and Karl du Fresne, probably wouldn't call themselves journalists while those who call themselves journalists, are the least thing from it.

I give Aaron A for attitude, but we dont want to end up just tilting at windmills. These problems are all too real, and I agree that civilization as we knew it is dissolving. I dont think that anyone is actually in control. I also think that the cancel culture delivered by mandates to the unvaccinated, was as bad as anything Rodney Hide is imagining.
