Pity that our ?representatives? in this Labour government are not as clever as Tremain. You know when Labour politicians are lying.Their lips are moving.Perhaps we would have more respect for Hipkins if he just admitted the failures of this government and stole a slogan from Avis.No-one with 2 connected neurons believes "In it for you"."We will try harder" might seduce some voters but it still won't happen. What we need is less government interference, waste and virtue signalling and more democracy, independence, freedom and personal responsibility so that we can be "in it" for ourselves, one another and New Zealand. The socialists that control Labour and the Greens want more and more of our freedom, independence and money so that they can RULE…
Nothing new to the ancients it seems, so why would we accept it now? Yet, here we are.
As an aside, I made the mistake of watching a bit of the news on our TV 1/3 a few minutes ago - Hipkins was shown enjoying a cuppa with a 90 yo supporter, all lovely, then they swung to Luxon and tried to make him sound like a fool regarding one (one only) aspect of the Nats tax proposals (foreign ownership of property).
I may be out of touch (years since I bought newspapers, and I don't watch TV) But I really enjoy the lampooning of good cartoons. They remind me of how the late Keith Holyoake had a favoured face side he insisted upon when on TV. Muldoon was a good target for cartoons also! "Baldie" Luxon will be too.. The next Labour leader, maybe Kieran McAnulty, will. be more difficult, as he already looks a shifty-eyed spiv. I have a good caption suggestion - the wide boy from Eketahuna.
how about a moko for the chin just to top it off.....
