Even the watermelon greens can see that it will be the elite "early settlers" that will clip the ticket on 3 waters fees.

That is against the socialist leanings of the greens which is, I guess is the reason they did not vote for the third reading. They desperately wish to hang on to their nine percent in the parliament.

We will see huge repercussions in the next 12 months as many labour members see the writing on the wall, plus there will a number escaping before the obliteration.

Council will dig their heels in and so should all the ratepayers. I am already emailing and sending letters to Auckland Council members and some MP's stating my opposition on behal…

If a council just says 'NO', what can they do? Who would they prosecute? - the owners or managers of the water asset? Lawyers, as usual, will have a field day. This will just keep bubbling pointlessly but prominently along right through to the election, provided councils hold their ground. This destruction of democracy has gone beyond any resurrection by their PR team.

Great cartoon and a sad depiction of the lack of respect that labour has for the electorate.

The hateful attitude of a Govt that passed hate speech laws recently is appalling and beyond belief and mugabe like, maybe a bit of hitler and stalin too.

In spite of them knowing most Nzrs were against 3 waters and knowing full well the possibility of them being kicked out over 3 waters and further also knowing full well that national will repeal it and replace it ( With what I ask ) they still pushed it through showing a Himalayan lack of respect for all of us and wasting millions of dollars on the project with the full knowledge that it wi…

ihcpcoro,

Well you are right about Wellington's Pipe Problems.

They should be told by their Ratepayers, "stop wasting our money on Bike Tracks/Roads and fix our Pipes. ! That is you Number One Priority".

Wellington Council have been Poorly Managed for years and years and this is why they are in the Crap. The last word is accurate.

Quite prophetic Garrick. The tree seems most likely to fall on Mahuta, and so it should.

Clearly mahuta is a 501 and should be despatched immediately to where she originally came from, certainly not NZ. She along with her cohorts are not indigenous to this country called New Zealand.
