Women make up over 50% of the population in our Country. Our girls need better protection. In todays paper a Young girl was beaten up in the toilets at school in Katikati. She was trying to hide from Bullies. Our mothers are being beaten up in domestic violence fights all too frequently. What women and our daughters need is the right to go into dressing rooms and not share them with any male or other gender. I wish the deputy leader had said similar when Sean Plunkett gave her the opportunity to speak out on our behalf.

I also wonder what the Ministry of Women's Affairs does? To me it is a great waste of money.

If a popular movement to deny both National and Labour our votes were to gain momentum , then votes for minor parties would be much less likely to be wasted ; they would no longer be minor.

Just saying.

But the single issue confronting we the people is ridding ourselves of an entrenched political "class" , best and overwhelmingly represented by both National and Labour.

That single issue should be the sole focus of smaller parties.

Perhaps you meant that they should lessen their focus on the things that don't really matter ; their "brands" maybe?

Does New Zealand have any real leaders, let alone politicians.

If New Zealanders want equality in their healthcare, equality of business opportunities which are not race based, the ability for women to determine who participates in their sport and use their changing rooms, equal access to our beautiful parks, rivers, lakes and other beauty, a language used in our taxpayer funded media that all can understand then they need to be very discerning with their votes.

Labour is not the way forward. National is not the way forward. These parties are too entrenched in the old ways of doing things. They are party first, constituents second.

It is no longer good enough to say "I will vote for the best of the worst". Sadly, this is what many will do.…
