I'll say this as simply as I can.
If you want to be treated as an adult, then you accept all the responsibilities and punishments for breaking the law like the rest of us do.
You get a job, even a few hours a week, and learn the art of contributing to society via the tax you will pay, however seemingly insignificant it may be.
If you want to be able to vote when you are 16, then you bloody well contribute, even in some small way, and you realize that nothing is based on brainfarts, and nothing ever is for free.
