It is very odd that you rarely hear about the Maori chiefs who voyaged to England to petition King William, Victoria's uncle, to intervene in what was commonly known as "The Cannibal Islands" or The Hell Hole of the Pacific." The place the more sensible of us call New Zealand.

Apparently, the chiefs were well received . They were most impressed by the massive amount of people every where, asking " Are these all King's men?' They were also very impressed by a visit to Woolwich Arsenal. They wanted to be attached to a greater power.

I guess this doesn't fit the revisionist myths.

I may have commented on this before, but here's something that puzzles me still - we require builders to follow a code of ethics (for fairly important reasons), and yet we have no such requirement for politicians.

How does that make sense?

NZ unlike USA has a protective culture and legal system setup by the very parliamentary system that seeks to protect itself from accountability. Some NZ industry sectors are self-regulated and/or deregulated, i.e. Parliament legislates it must have an internal complaints process, and that process must issue a deadlock letter first before access to the Ombudsman is possible.,but even then the complainant can be defaulted to court and the cost of that if the industry gamer wishes to stop the Ombudsman. A complaint to the Ombudsman gets made anonymous and settled so that the spread of other consumers no nothing so that the misconduct continues across the market. Other sectors get a code, but unless the code is enshrined in legislation…

For those so interested in the similarities and yet the wide differences between Aus and NZ, the following link may be of interest:

https://quadrant.org.au/opinion/the-voice/2023/10/even-peasants-can-recognise-a-bill-of-goods/

What has to be appreciated is the difference between a Constitution (Aus) and a heap of open ended gobbledy gook, hole in the bucket, ever alterable rubbish, that passes itself of as the law of the land. (NZ)

Australia has at its government heart (Canberra) possessing the same twats as does Wellington.

The difference being they have a much harder job in OZ of introducing their ever changing predominating bullshit, however in OZ if it interferes with peoples rights it has to be founded on a basis of sound scrutiny.

Oh yeah, they still have the…

I think it could be age...

but no worries Gramps, either end or part thereof of any score will suffice.... as long as I can still fill in the variables.

I scored in economics but lacked in math.... but I guess that shows huh.

Cindy ( not being nice here) set up Hipkins and the Clowns in the Labour Circus, to FAIL miserably.

Silly thing is they couldn't see it, when New Zealander's en-mass could see what was going to happen.

The Ringmasters (sic) have gone Mahuta and Wood to name 2. !

Good riddance.

As others have stated, any challenge on any subjct from National, ACT, or NZ First were labeled 'Racist'

Because of the collusion with Elitist Maori and The Green Party they have created a racial division that will take some time for the National coalition to rectify.

They can start by putting the English names back on Government Departments, and correcting Road Signs !

NZ Transport can only be what…
